[UPDATE] This will also be available at Japan Expo this year. (:
[EDIT] By popular demand, I put a little Momo in there. But I'm standing my ground about Appa and Naga. There's just no room! xD [/EDIT]
So, after about an entire year of no updates, I give you this. I hope this makes up for it. OTL
SO YEAH LEGEND OF KORRA WHEEWWWW
Man... where do I begin? I'm going to just admit that I've always been afraid of colors. My brain tends to wig out over what colors to choose and most of my stuff tends to end up a great big murky mess about 90%. Which is why most of my stuff never sees the light of day. I've buried them in a dark tomb guarded by zombie dinosaurs. With lasers.
I've got so many other prints that need finishing but I decided to tackle this one first. Why? Because I hate myself. But, no, in all seriousness, I learned a lot from working on this one picture. Still color-phobic but I'd like to think the choices I made take me one step closer to understanding things better.
A lot of you may notice that some key characters are absent... Well, trust me. I've got nothing against them but I decided to keep this one the way it is mainly because I found that composition works best this way. If I had too much clutter, I'm positive that the composition would not be as natural. Kinda raises a big red flag that I'm trying to fit the entire cast in there!
If you're going to Anime Expo, please drop by Artist Alley and say hello! I'll be sitting next to the wonderful
in row D. Things may be subject to change so just to mitigate any possible confusion, I'll be putting up a journal with more details and updates later.
There'll be more coming in the next few weeks so keep an eye out for this forgotten artist ; A;
